I have two Win 11 VMs: 1. Drive set to 256 GB, has multiple snapshots. Shows in Finder as less than 200GB. 2. Drive set to 64GB, has no snapshots. In Windows, C: shows as 30GB (it is a testing VM with hardly any programs installed; the VM is a year old. All temp data, windows.old, old updates have been deleted also). Still, it shows in Finder as 60GB. Both VMs have been configured to free up space when they are turned off, and I have also manually tried to trigger this to no avail. Why is this? I would expect the VM to show something like perhaps 40 GB.
Then again, VM1 shows 113GB in C:, and even when I delete all snapshots, affter shutting down the PM it also shows as a lot more, 199GB, in Finder.
