Question about activation codes - upgrading from version 3 to 4

    I would like to upgrade from Parallels 3 to 4. I have a registered copy of version 3 on my Macbook Pro (OS X 10.4.11), complete with a Product ID number. From my preliminary reading, it looks as though I will need my original Activation Key, as well as the new one, to upgrade. Is that correct? And if so, is the Activation Key for version 3 the same as the Product ID? And if not, where can I find it (I couldn't find the answer to that one in the section on "How to Upgrade")?
