We are currently using 2X very limitedly but were going to be looking into a published desktop. The problem that were are having is that the user profile has to be setup on each server. Is there a way that 2X can be set-up to point a user to a specific TS Server. We are using load Balancing currently. Would this wipe out that feature or in the event that the primary server for that user goes down, could it automatically switch to the other load balance server?
yes you can point groups or users at a server, however you loose all redundancy and loadbalancing. You need to setup a central share accessible by all the servers for the profiles to be stored in and relate this to the user accounts. Then whichever server they connect to, they will get the profile
User Profiles Shared Is there a real life example of this? How would I go about creating this share? Are you referring to 'Roaming Profiles'?
