Hello,
On the Parallels website (http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/resources/) it states:
Minimum 2 GB of memory (4 GB of memory is recommended to run Windows 7 in a virtual machine or if your host OS is Lion)
So what is the deal with Lion? I called tech support and they couldn't answer me why this spec is worded this way. I happen to be running both of those (Lion/Win7) on my older (mid-2011) MacBook Air, with 4GB RAM total, and Parallels 7. I wouldn't say it's a speed demon, but it functions perfectly well for my needs - running Microsoft Access. I had avoided doing the whole Yosemite/Parallels 10 upgrade as I was worried I'd take a big hit in performance running those on an older machine. But this cryptic system requirement has me wondering: would I do better (or at least not worse) by upgrading?
Thanks for any answers to my mystery!
PS: I know I just missed the cutoff for Parallels 9, and I can't really 'upgrade', I have to buy a full version of 10 - them's the breaks!
