Hi, First of all, I'm french so I'm sorry for the mistakes I'm about to do. Well, Overwatch (the last game from Blizzard) is not compatible with OS X, therefore I told to myself I could play with parallels... So it would not be a big point ... At first I downloaded the game with parallels desktop 10 (with window 10). The result was similar to a black screen with sound. Then I decided to try with a parallels 11 (with a trial-version), the result was better but I couldn't play neither. So my questions are: Is there a solution to play overwatch with parallels? Do I have to download some adds-on or whatever to make it work? Or Is overwatch organically made to be incompatible with Mac? Thanks and sorry again for all my potential mistakes.
Hi kevinS4, The Games Only profile is designed for Parallels Desktop users who use Windows mainly for gaming. When the Games Only profile is chosen, the virtual machine will have the maximum recommended memory (the green zone of the Memory slider under Configure > Hardware > CPU & Memory) and 512 Mb of video memory. Most of the integration features will be disabled, but your mouse and keyboard will be optimised for games. The startup view will be set to Full Screen. please refer to the article and let us know if it makes any changes.
Thanks for your answer, I forgot to say it, but my parallels was already "game profile only". There are several problem I did not mention: - kinematics doesn't work... audio does though. - The interface is "twisted", nothing is at the right place. - There are many black strips on the screen - My mouse doesn't move. I will try to re-install the game...
Hi, Could you check this article to know about playing games with Parallels Desktop. This mostly should be related to the system requirements of the gmae such as DirectX version not met by the Virtual Machine.
I tried to install DirectX etc... But I couldn't, even tough I followed the article instructions... Moreover because I run windows 10, Direct X12 should be install... although I didn't really understand the OpenGL website it should not be the point. I think I will give up, because it seems rather clear to me that even parallels cannot enable me to play Overwatch on a Mac ... Thank you guys for your time.
Hi @KevinS4, Note that Parallels Desktop supports only upto DirectX 10. Feel free to reach out any time. We will be glad to assist.
