question about windows 10 OEM key

Hi, I have a question about windows 10 OEM key: first if I buy a new one can I use it on my macbook without any problems ? At a later time can I use the same key with Boot Camp ? Thanks for the answers and have a good christmas

We are not sure with the Microsoft Licensing policy, if Microsoft allows you to use the license key in 2 machines, you can install and activate them in both VM and Boot camp.

 

The difference between OEM and Retail is that OEM can only be used on one physical machine and cannot be transferred to another machine, this machine can be your MacBook. However, Windows controls if you are transferring to a different machine by looking at your hardware. The Bootcamp machine and the virtual one present different hardware to Windows.
It generally works if you start it first as Bootcamp and then virtualize it, the other way around will likely raise licensing issues and you'll have to call MS to reactivate and explain it's a virtual machine, etc, they might accept it.
