We're using Quickbooks 2008 in a Windows XP Home environment via Parallels Desktop on a new big screen Imac running Leopard 10.5.4. Rammage is plenty. The Quickbooks backup file (QBB) has disappeared from the Windows environment a couple of times, never to be found. We haven't yet installed the latest parallels build 5608. Could this be related? Any other possibilities? suggestions?
Not sure, it is related to Parallels at all, if you do not have ntfs errors in System.log (I mean disk corruption)
Sorry, your reply is way too techy for me, a poor user. This Parallels install is only about one month old, the Quickbooks even less, and the Mac is about three months old. The Mac environment seems to be running perfectly. Can you tell me how to check the disk corruption you suggest, remembering that we are Mac users first, don't know our way around Windows very well.
Ok, if Mac is new, it is not the case. In this case situation is following, you are using Shared Profile and deleted some files from Mac OS side. Try to create file in application, and you will see it on Mac OS side in Documents, and this file was deleted from Mac OS side,
