I am running Mac OS (10.7.5 - Lion) and hosting Windows XP SP3. Parallels Desktop is 7.0.15107. The main purpose of the Windows virtual machine is to run QuickBooks for Windows (Pro 2011, fully updated), since QBMac and QBOnline both suck. Typically after each session, I will exit QuickBooks and then put Parallels to sleep, rather than shutting down the virtual machine completely. But in the past couple of months, whenever I restart Parallels and then load QuickBooks, it fails to find the default "Company" file that should be loaded automatically. Instead, I get the following error message: QuickBooks cannot get the network address of the server. After I click OK, close QuickBooks, and then restart the Parallels virtual machine, I am then able to open the company file without a problem. So I think this is something in how the virtual machine goes to sleep and then reawakens. I've tried waiting for a few minutes after restarting the virtual machine before loading QuickBooks to see if it finds the drives but this doesn't seem to help. Has anyone seen this before? Dan
