I just installed Parallels 8/Windows 8. I have installed Quicken 2012 Premier and updated it to release 7 which matches my PC version. I have backed up the file on the PC through Quicken backup. The file gets restored in parallels, but then fails to open with the error "Can not open file". I've tried to run verify on the restored file, and the verify process complains that it can't open the file to verify because it's in use by another process. There have been some error reports generated and the exception is a file access exception. The 'VALIDATE" folder does get created in the same directory where the restored file is located, but gets left there when the process hits the exception condition. .<UploadData><ErrorInfo><ErrorType>UnhandledException</ErrorType><ModuleName>C:\Program Files (x86)\Quicken\qw.exe</ModuleName><ExceptionInfo><ExceptionID>0xc0000005</ExceptionID><ExceptionDescription>EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION</ExceptionDescription> Any ideas why quicken can't open the data file that it says it can restore?
