Hi everyone. I am having an issue when installing a mandatory Quicken Home & Business 2014 update. According to information from Intuit, I have to install the R9 version of Quicken 2014 or I won't be able to access my automatic downloads anymore. I have Parallels 10 installed. I am attaching an image of what happens every time that I try to install the update. I have tried from within the app and I have also tried when I am asked to do so, on startup.
Hello JustinP2, You could try running System file checker on your Windows to check for corrupted Windows files. 1. Open the Start menu, type in 'cmd' (Command Prompt) without quotes, right-click on the application and choose Run as Administrator. 2. In Command Prompt type in: sfc /scannow (hit Return/Enter) and wait until the operation is completed. 3. Restart the Windows Virtual Machine and try updating your Quicken. Let us know how it works.
Hello there, It did not work. There were no integrity issues found when i ran the scan and when I restarted Quicken and tried to update it, i got the same error message as before.
Hey JustinP2, have you tried reinstalling or repairing the application. You can repair it from Control Panel > Programs and Features > Locate your application and choose repair. Now restart the application and check how it goes.
Repair is not one of the options. I can only 'Organize' or 'Uninstall' it. Also to note, I have done plenty of 'R' updates before and have never had this issue before.
