I just loaded parallel two days ago and am attempting to use After Effects. When I go to my shared files and try to open media I find that all my files are not recognized. I've updated Quicktime so I can't figure out why. The media files are recognized by the mac. I can use them in After Effects and FCP in the mac. Why not in the PC?

My next question is, when I run after Effects I gat an error message saying I need at least 2 gigs of ram to run the program. However, when I go in to the Configuration settings in Parallel and select memory for my main C drive, it only lets me set it to 1500, not 2000. Why? My mac pro has 4 gigs. How come I can't access more memory?

If the media files you're attempting to use, require DirectX, or 3D acceleration, then they wont work.
