Hi, I've been using Parallels for a loong time now (since 2.0 I think) on an original MacBook Pro, 2Ghz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, with the Mobility Radeon X1600. I have Parallels Desktop 3, build 5592. I'm not using Boot Camp. I have Leopard, 10.5.2.
Been having an issue that only occurs while Parallels Desktop is running - at seemingly random, my entire machine (not just the VM) will shut down, and then a few seconds later automatically start up again. This occurs even when a VM isn't running (or suspended), sometimes it occurs upon launching Parallels Desktop.app. PD is really great when it works ... but frustrating to go into another room for a few minutes, and come back to find the machine at the OS X login screen.
One thing that may be a possible trigger: resizing the VM window in Single Window mode often causes this to happen immediately. However it occurs in coherence mode and fullscreen mode as well, albeit not as often.
There is no relevant information written to system.log - logging simply stops and starts again with OS X booting up. There's no kernel panic or any kind of crash report anywhere. I'm at a loss. I hope it's not a hardware problem.
