I cannot find the answer on how to get the Gateway to tunnel RDP over SSL. We can get "Regular Gateway" to work just fine remotely. All we should need to do is get SSL to work. I've read a few posts on these forums about "how do I upload a private key" and I am also stumped by that. The documentation does not really address the SSL config. Specificially, how do we properly import a SSL cert issued by a company like GoDaddy (or Thawte, Verisign etc).
Nixu must be away. I found this works easily. 1. Goto the connection settings tab. 2. Press generate new certificate and select the generated certificate for both private key file and certificate file. 3. Select "Enable SSL on port". 4. It is not a requirement but you should disable "2x client gateway port" to force SSL. I hope this helped. Scotty
I did get this to work...with a private certificate. Once I generated the cert I had to open it and copy out the private and public key parts as separate files and name the private one priv.key and public one public.cer Any other combo did not work for us. After a bit more research I found that to use a CA, when you do the CSR your private key should be in your certs manager under enrollment requests and then the response will be public key. Has anyone got this to work with a GoDaddy Turbo SSL cert? I'm still a bit dismayed that none of this was clearly documented.
Hi there, A new section in the documentation should be added, on how to add a third party ssl cert. In the mean time if any one needs to know how to add a third party ssl cert & mention this post. Nixu
I think that a lot of users may be researching this solution on the forums. Can you please post those directions here as well to save us time? I definitely need that information.
To use a Godaddy or other trusted Cert, you'll probably need to export it with the private key. It won't work otherwise. Dennes
I am new person and have some problems, Please help me pass them. 1. I installed RDP Over SSL at Server 2. I used other computer and using "Remote Desktop Connection of Window" Remote SSL successfully. 3. So I opened application and got message "The remote computer requires authentication for you to connect. Verify the authentication setting and try again." 3.2 Add new server terminal connection... and connected. So I got same message "The remote computer requires authentication for you to connect.
