Hi there
Very new to Parallels desktop, been running it ok for a month, windows 7 did a auto update of service pack 1 and now when I start my virtual machine I get a windows black screen with a cancel button in the middle that does nothing. Tried reboot, safe mode system restore to no avail. As all my data is backed up so I was just going to create a new VM but then realised I had one file that had not been backed up, losing this file will cause me hassle I could do without. I learnt how to mount my hard drive and all my file structures are still in place and all my files are there, but on mounting the drive it tells me it is read only, which stops me copying the file.
Any help would be gratefully accepted
