    Hello everyone,

I installed Parallels and Windows XP a few weeks ago. Both were working fine, until last night when I tried to get my virtual machine to recognize the hard drive I had plugged into my USB port. After trying many things, I gave up and uninstalled Parallels so I could start over from scratch. Everything went fine - Windows XP started its install, the Product Key went through initially, and WinXP got through the "Preparing Installation" stage just fine, but when it got to the "Installing Windows" stage, it told me that my Product Key is invalid. It's the same Product Key that I used in the first install a few weeks ago, and believe me, I've double and triple checked it and it is entered correctly. This is a brand new copy of WinXP, and I've only used it on this machine.

Any help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

    Nichole

    Invalid Product Key - continued

I'm having the same problem that Nichole is having. On top of this frustrating problem, Microsoft won't help me and Parallels says it's not their problem. I'm stuck and unlike you, I have never been able to use Parallels. I'm glad I've paid for a program that I can't use and that nobody supports.
