I have performance problems with USB3 dongle that uses the ax88179_178a driver. They seem IRQ/DMA related under higher network load, so the problem is probably related to some Parallels/driver interaction that doesn't occur when it's run on "bare metal". I need a separate dongle because I use this for lab where I need the host to sit on a physically separate network connection. Whilst I have created a support request for this to Parallels, I'm also wondering if someone has experiences with "known well working" USB3 ethernet dongle that works well with Ubuntu 14.04 running as a guest under Parallels9 OSX.
