Hi everyone, New parallels user here with a tech question that I didn't see on the boards. If it is I appoligize for the duplicate thread. Anyways, my question arised when I decided to reinstall windows using parallels using the file>New> and selecting Windows Express. It only shows one HD partition in the windows install menu. I had my 200 GB HD partitioned down the middle so that both Leopard and XP have equal storage. My question is, will this installation erase the entire drive, or is it merely showing me the drive that I had Windows installed on previously? Also should I be doing this through Boot camp again or can I do a full install on that partition without the use of bootcamp and if so, will I still be able to hold option down and choose either or at the beginning of a reboot? I have a lot of data on the mac and would hate to loose everything on this install. I have a MacBook Pro 17" if that helps. Thank you. C.S. Murphy
If you selected to create new VM, Parallels Desktop will create new virtual HDD, which will shown from Mac OS side as hdd bundle. Windows installation will not erase your Leopard, if you perform it from Parallels DEsktop
