[Solved] Release 3 Build 5160 Shared Profile not working

    Hello all,

I'm a first time user of Parallels. The installation was relatively painless and I have Windows XP Pro installed in an image file (no boot camp). All I want to do is share my Mac folder with Windows so that I can access my mac folders within Windows and for the life of me I can't seem to get it to work. I've read through the user guide and tried all config settings to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    human

I can't seem to attach my pvs file, even as a zip, so here is the config I'm using.

Umm, no. Wasn't aware that I had to install it. It's grayed outon my VM. Is that because I'm running the trial version? Don't mind paying for it if it does what I need it to, wanted to kick the tires before I did that.

    Thanks for the quick response.

From the menu: Actions -> Install Parallels Tools

    See if that helps.

Yes, unfortunately "Install Parallels Tools" is grayed out in Action-> Install Parallels Tools. Is it because I have an evaluation license? If not, how do I "un-gray" it?

    Thanks,

    Solved

Okay, so perhaps I didn't rtfm.

Installed the tools (with the VM/OS running) and everything is fine now. Thanks for the pointers, folks.
