    Hi,

both computers are in the same LAN. Is the complete connection always via internet or only the handshake to establish the connection?

Could I connect using IP to connect in my intranet? So I cloud use VPN.

    thx

    Hello Mueller,
yes, you need to have active internet connection to use Parallels Access. No, using Parallels Access through intranet is not possible.

Sorry to thread-hijack...but, being of relevance & seeing as this this thread isn't quite yet 2mo old....
Ajith/"Parallels Support", in regard to the statement, "No, using Parallels Access through intranet is not possible.":
    • Does this mean, if the Host Machine/Agent resides on the same LAN/subnet, then you cannot connect to the Parallels Access Agent?
    • Or, is it just that both Client & Host/Access Agent need internet access, without regard of where they reside?

If both host device and the remote device which has agent reside on same LAN/subnet it can connect provided both devices needs to have access to the internet. As the connection is only established through Parallels Access server.
