Hi there, I am hoping someone can shed some light on a configuration issue i am having with the 2X Application Server Client. We have our users log in with their domain accounts to a locked down xp workstation, and then connect through to our 2003 Terminal Server farm via RDP. This all works fine, and SSO is enabled so once the initial log in is complete, the user can double click the icon for the farm and it logs them in automatically. Unfortunately i have not found a way of running the 2X client without the application window opening up as well. I have configured shortcuts to appear on the desktop, so i want only those available. The application folder window i want to stay hidden or not open if possible. I have looked at the manual and amended the settings i believe will do this, but with no success. In addition, there are options available in this window which i do not want users to amend. Thanks in advance.
Hi, you can do all of them. MSI editor 2X AppServer console setting 2X AppClient setting Regards, Tom
Now for the opposite - I've used ORCA to modify the MSI and prevent the app window from opening as we gradually migrate users over to 2x. Now I'm finding it difficult to revert this for users going live with 2x. At startup the 2x client launches but only the tooltray icon appears. What are the registry settings to also make the App Window open up? I have set AutoHide=0 and AutoLaunch=1 in the HKCU/Software/2x/AppserverClient key but it doesn't seem to help. Thanks Mark
