    Hello.
At some point Parallels added a number of icons to my OSX desktop. These seem to be files that exist on my Windows desktop. I do not want this behavior -- I want my OSX desktop to contain none of the icons seen on my windows desktop.

    How is this best accomplished?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

I think you are talking about Shared Profile. In order to turn it off, please do the following:
    1. Launch Parallels Desktop for Mac by clicking its icon in the Dock or its alias on the Mac OS X desktop.
    2. Choose the virtual machine from the Select virtual machine dialog and click Select. The Configuration Page of the virtual machine appears with a list of virtual hardware displayed in the Configuration area.
    3. Click Configuration or any device link in the list or choose Edit menu > Virtual Machine.
    4. The Configuration Editor window appears. It has two panes. The left pane contains the Resource list. There you should find Shared Profile options. Please deselect the "enable" checkbox in the right panel.

    Best regards,
    Stacey
