its near by that i will HATE parallels. normal upgrading doesnt work - vm is on, then the popup - "new version downloaded- you want updating?" comes up and then my mac freeze. so i downloaded the last version and install with de-install before. now my upgrade-key is not working... hell. so, is that a known problem with the freezing, somebody have too? i cant work with that. got some clientversions and whish that never buy this stuff and be happy with the normal bootcamp thing... imac 24, 4gb, 1tb, leo last version, parallels v3.5582 to 5584
so - now wasting more time and find an old link to the update from parallels that work (its seems personal link, my licence was there after installing it). so install (5584 de). then start parallels and see: imac freeze and in the end crashed (kernel!). any hints for me? thnx.

Parathings, thank you for the screenshot. The issue seems to be caused by improper Mac hard disk permissions that provoked the problems with the main Parallels driver installation. 1. Please uninstall Parallels by running the following commands in Terminal (Applications -> Utilities): • sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions/vmmain.kext • sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions/hypervisor.kext • sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions/Pvsvnic.kext • sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions/ConnectUSB.kext • sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions/Pvsnet.kext • sudo rm -rf /Library/Parallels/ • sudo rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.parallels.* Before you run these commands, please make sure that your VM hdd and pvs files are NOT stored in ~/Library/Parallels. 2. Repair disk permissions: open Disk Utility (Applications -> Utilities), select Macintosh HD on the left tab and click the Repair Disk Permissions button. 3. Reboot your Mac and reinstall Parallels. Best regards, Xenos
doesnt work with that orders... $ sudo rm /System/Library/Extensions/hypervisor.kext rm: /System/Library/Extensions/hypervisor.kext: is a directory i cant see the files in the dir... have to look where they are.
Parathings, please try to run the commands this way: sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/hypervisor.kext etc. Best regards, Xenos
