I'm wondering if someone could tell me how to enable user login in Windows XP? I run an instance of Windows XP for dealing with Cisco devices via Cisco Configuration Professional — unfortunately, CCP doesn't require a username/password for device management beyond original setup (I've been dealing with Cisco support on this and their response is "Windows XP login should be enough protection" — which I think is completely crazy considering what I'm dealing with, ie. security devices, routers, etc.). Anyway, so I need to get Windows XP, via Parallels Desktop 5, to require the user to login. The only user on the VM is "Administrator" and I just can't figure out how to REQUIRE login (when I restart, it just restarts into the user).
Any help would be much appreciated!
    Regards,
    Kristin.

    it's a registry tweak

    It's a registry tweak.

A quick write-up was posted here:

It's a good idea to back up your registry before you proceed. You'll need to reboot the vm after making the change.

If you want to run Windows under a less-privileged account, you'll need to create one in Control Panel > Users. You can also set how you want to log on there (welcome screen vs login box, use password or not, etc).

    Best,
