Hi everyone. I've installed Ubuntu Hardy Heron, and now when i try to change my desktop resolution from the menu, the desktop appears with the image destroyed in pieces. I attached an example of the screen.

    Could anyone help me?

P.S.: i didn't have this problem with ubuntu 7.10, i could change desktop resolution without problems

    Same Problem

    Hi,

I'm experiencing the same issue here with a fresh install of 8.04.

Parallel Tools fails to install with a "no xorg installation found" error.

    Hmm....

hhcv, that's another kind of problem

Parallels doesn't work because it isn't already compatible with the new version of xorg that you find in Hardy Heron (8.04)

In the time i found another problem... if i try to make a reconfigure xorg, i have the "wrong battery" error, and it doesn't permit me to adjust the resolution and video drivers...

This reply does fix my resolution problem running Ubuntu 8.04 under OSX:

It's just forcing the driver and resolution under X11.
My resolution problem was the bottom 100 or so pixels not being visible, and changing the resolution via System > Preferences > Screen Resolution would result in an unusable gui.
