Resolution of Windows 8.1 guest changes when scaling the resolution of OS X 10.9 host

Hello,

Usually I scaled the resolution on my Retina MacBook Pro to 1440x900 to have more space available. The resolution on my Windows 8.1 guest was just fine. Fonts where not too small. But when I enable the default scaling the resolution on my guest OS is higher so everything looks smaller (fonts and icons). I did not find a way to get the resolution I am used to back. The only thing I can do is the change the scaling of the host to 1440x900.
What can I do to keep the default scaling of the host but enable slightly bigger fonts of the guest?
