Both machines can access the internet, and both machines can be seen by other computers on the network.

However, something odd is happening at the router.

I have a 192.168 IP for each machine. Take the following as an example:

    Mac OS Host
    IP: 192.168.1.100
    MAC: AA-AA-AA-AA-AA-AA

    Windows Guest
    IP: 192.168.1.200
    MAC: FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF

This itself is fine, they both have a separate IP on the network, but when I view the list of connected devices I get a combination of both, there is just one device listed in the routers admin page...And the odd thing is it shows:

The IP of the Windows VM
The MAC of the OS X Host

I have tried setting the network adapter to bridged mode...this gives me the separate IP addresses that I want, and we can see above that is correct.

I have also made sure to untick the box that says "Pass the Hosts Mac address" - I want the Windows VM to pass it's own MAC address so the two machines will appear separately on the router, and i'll be able to configure port forwarding without messing about with fixed IP addresses.

The problem with setting the fixed IP addresses, which I believe would solve my issue is I use a Macbook, so I connect to many different networks, when I go away from my home/office network I would have to change the IP settings when I moved around networks.

If they show as separate devices (Which should be possible) then I can use the routers built in functionality for port forwarding, and/or assigning fixed IP's only when inside my home network.

The VM is basically passing the incorrect MAC address, it is passing the OS X physical adapters MAC and this is confusing the router.
