Hi there I am experiencing what I think to be a pretty strange behavior I was wondering if anybody had any insight into. We're trying to run a windows network database program from parallels on a newish imac. It was running incredibly slowly, the program took as much as a 55 seconds to launch and 20 seconds for any command after that. Then once in a while it would run much quicker, 8 seconds to launch and most commands being completed within a second. After much prodding we realized that it was running fast when software update was downloading in the background of the mac side. We tested it out and it seems like this particular process runs 5 or 6 times faster when a large file is being downloaded on the mac side. For now we're just downloading photoshop demos over and over again but this is obviously a bad long term plan : ) Does anybody have any ideas as to why on earth this would be? It has to be a network issue somehow, but i'm in over my head here.
