Hey all, I am running Parallels 6 on a macbook pro (XP SP3 on the Virtual Machine) and everything seems to work fine with the exception of one windows program (Maplewood Education Software). The program was working and all of a sudden when I try to launch the program I get the "Runtime 6 Error" and "Overflow and the program closes. I have tried a Registry Fix....I have tried to reinstall the program, but it doesn't help.....the program requires logging into a windows server, which was working.....the ethernet is working and I can log onto our network, surf the net, etc. under windows XP......not sure what to try next.....any suggestions welcome. Thanks
Hi, I'm bumping this thread since I'm experiencing a similar issue which I cannot resolve. Whenever I start a certain program in my virtualized Windows XP SP3, and it's just this single program, I get the "Runtime 6 Error" Overflow. The program then will not start at all. However, if I choose to run the same program in a smaller, downsized Parallels window, or rather if I do not run it in either coherence mode or fullscreen mode, it will start up and run just fine. I have gotten used to this "workaround" but I would very much prefer to be able to run it in coherence mode instead. Any suggestion on how I might fix this would be very welcome! The hardware is a MBPR 13" connected to an Apple Thunderbolt Display and it's running OS X 10.8.3, Parallels Desktop 7 and Win XP Pro SP3. The single program that is causing the issue is a very basic program in swedish that I use for bookkeeping. Again, I would be very grateful for any help on this problem!
