When Parallels is running and I insert my 1Gb SD card from my digital camera it is not recognized in the finder. I have to shut down Parallels and reboot my computer to get it to work. If I plug the card in without having run Parallels it works fine.

Can anyone else test this out?

Don't have a reader, but I can basically tell what's happening:

Parallels, while running, is looking for USB devices. You plug your reader in, and Parallels "grabs" it. The nature of the virtualization means that both OSs can't access it at the same time, so it's "hidden" from OSX while it's mounted in Parallels.

IIRC you can "disconnect" it from parallels via one of the icons in the status bar. (I did this with a USB key)

I do not even have USB support enabled in my VM.

Really... Well, guess I was wrong, then. That's quite odd that it'd still glom the USB devices with it switched off. Then again, USB support itself is apparently rather spotty at this point, so I suppose it's not *too* surprising.

Do you still see your reader from the USB dropdown on the status bar?
