os x 10.5.4 2gb ram 2.8 ghz quad core intel mac pro no bootcamp (yet) parallels 5600 with tools xp pro i'm trying to run an old hp scanjet 2200c scanner, which by the way, only works on PCs. This is probably where the problem lies. It has worked fine on my PC, but in parallels it crashes. It warms the lamp up just fine and shows a preview, but when it goes to scan, it stops mid-stride , and an hpapp.exe error appears. I would post the crash log, but xp won't let me copy it. nothing's shown up on the forums, so i'm hoping someone out there has a good answer for this.
I can suggest you to try this build http://download.parallels.com/stuff/Parallels-Desktop-5582.5-Mac-en.dmg If it doesn't work we can continue to check situation
