    Parallels 18
    VM Windows 11 on
Mac Studio M1 Ultra, Ventura 13 and
Studio Display 5760x3240 in full screen mode.
After waking up from sleep mode, the screen resolution in the VM jumps to 2880x1620.
Is this a Windows or a Parallels problem?

I have the exact same system with the same issue:
Mac Studio M1 Ultra, Ventura 13.1, Studio Display (5120x2880) and I am running Windows 11 Pro 2H22 on Parallels 18.1.1.

I was hoping that there would have been a solution or work around by now. I typically restart the VM to reset the screen resolution back to 5120x2880.

Same issue - I take it out of full screen mode and put it back in full screen mode and it comes back, but this is a pain - even with keyboard shortcuts.

I have an M1 iMac and I have a similar problem - screen resolution will also jump (sorry didn't write down the numbers) to a higher resolution and this causes issues with one of the programs that I need to use Windows 11 for (probably because it is an older IBM Lotus Approach program). But it happens to me when I shut down the VM and then restart it. I generally don't leave my VM on long enough for it to go to sleep so I don't know if it would happen then.

I contacted support and they gave me a solution that appears to be working (for the past 2 days). Here is what they told me to do (For more details, kindly consult the following Knowledge Based article: https://kb.parallels.com/116141):

    1. Shut down your virtual machine.
    2. Go to your virtual machine's configuration > Options > Full Screen.
    3. Click on "Advanced..." > select "Keep ratio" from the Scale to fit screen drop-down menu > Click Ok
    4. Start your virtual machine in Full Screen mode.
    5. Right-click on the Windows desktop > Display Settings > using the Display Resolution drop-down menu, select the desired resolution.
    6. Close the configuration window and restart Windows.

Screen resolution on Windows will remain according to the settings you selected.

In order to avoid seeing black bars on top-bottom or left-right sides of the Windows screen, please perform the following steps to force Windows screen to get stretched to fill the whole Mac screen:

    1. Shut down the virtual machine.
    2. Go to your virtual machine's configuration > Options > Full Screen.
    3. Click on "Advanced..." > select "Stretch" from the Scale to fit screen drop-down menu > Click Ok
    4. Close the configuration window and start the virtual machine.

I did not have to perform the second part since my display resolution between the Mac and Windows are the same and there are no black bars across my screen.
