Screen Resolution Issue

    I upgraded 2X ASC from 5.1 to 6.1 on a machine with multi-monitors and when I tried to launch a published application, it displayed a dialog informing me that 2X does not support resolutions higher than 1600X1200. That was odd because the resolution is set at 1280x1024. When I clicked "OK", the published application displayed with the desktop background of the term server in a windows that spanned halfway accross the secondary monitor. Adjusting screen resolutions has no affect on this behavior, removing and reinstalling has no affect, and I am unable to reproduce this issue on any other multi-monitor machines. The only difference is the display adapter (the affected maching has an ATI adapter vs. Nvidia adapters on unaffected clients).

    Please help.

    Hi there,

    If you resolution is 1280x1024 and you have 2 monitors then the required resolution is 2560x1024 if they are set side by side..

    Can i suggest to log out of the session and re log on again.

    So are you saying that the 2x client sees the resolution as the screen resoltion times the number of monitors, so in this case (1280x1024)x2 ? If so, why can a different pc run at 1600x1200 on dual monitors with no such issue?

    I have (repeatedly) logged off the sessions, exited the 2x client and tried launching the published app. I've un-installed and re-installed the client. I've also deleted all of the 2x registry entries and reinstalled. I've verified that the latest MSRDP client is installed. I am totally at a loss as to why this one pc is affected when others are not.

    Hi there,

    Yes 2x client sees the resolution as the screen resolution times the number of monitors.

    99% The 2X Client is making use of different MSRDPs on the different machines..

    To confirm this, form the 2X Application Server Client go to 'Help' -> 'Control Version'. Compare these versions on the different machines and check if these are different.

    Another issue might be the color depth... Are these the same too?
