I can't seem to get Ubuntu to accept a screen resolution change on my Thinkpad. It keeps defaulting to the 1400x1050 resolution. Any ideas how to change resolution?

May be you need to reconfigure your X window system

    Hello,

I also have trouble with screen resolution on my new mactel with parallels running unbuntu, but it's worst than davidwsica because I only reach 1024*768 and in full screen mode I get horrible black strip on both side of my screen...

I try to reconfigure X windows system but still don't work, I think it can recognize my graphic card. I think that on that apple mac this is a ATI.

    Does anybody can help me...

    Same here

I've got the same problem: no more than 1024x768... I tried adding resolutions in the PW video config tab, but to no avail. Any pointers?
