In OS X, or BSD rather, there is a nifty little program called screencapture at /usr/sbin/screencapture (https://developer.apple.com/library.../Reference/ManPages/man1/screencapture.1.html). However, starting with Mavericks, when I take a screenshot with this program, either to the clipboard or to disk, and I copy and paste it into an e-mail in Outlook running in Parallels the image is corrupted. It is as if the data is shifted in columns with random artifacts thrown in for good measure. If I first copy the image into a new image in Pixelmator and *then* copy it into Outlook via the shared clipboard everything is okay. So it has me wondering about the image format. Screencapture can uses multiple formats, but none of them result in a successful copy/paste. Ideas?
