Hi: I'm trying to set up a parallels 8 within an imac (late 2012) 10.8.4. The guest os is windows 8. When I insert a sd card in the imac parallels doesn't offer the choice to link to windows or mac. It is immediately linked to mac. I can use the sd card from windows, but it appears as "network location". What I need is to force the sd card to mount it in windows as an removable device. Any ideas on how to achieve this? Thanks in advance, Luis.
Card reader in your Mac is not USB based, it is exclusively controlled by OS X. What you can do is to attach an external USB card reader to Mac.
