It fails saying it can't create a window after trying to set the rendertotexture flag. The error is bout the resolution, but I'm sure its the render to texture that's the actual problem. I'm running 3.0 build 5608 with windows xp and trying to run second life 1.20 release, the current version. I need to run it in windows because I'm writing stereoscopic code for windows. Is there any chance that sl might ever work? I'm guessing the render to texture needs to be supported by the hardware, and would therefore need to be implemented in the parallels video driver? Or parallels would need to be able to access the macosx driver? thanks.
Please check list of supported applications at http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/features/3d/
Please check this Parallels Desktop for Mac user guide from http://www.parallels.com/en/download/file/doc/Parallels_Desktop_for_Mac_User_Guide.pdf on page 172
wow another totally useless answer. yes, i looked at that page. i've already tried editing those settings. SL uses opengl, not direct x and there's no setting in there for bit depth. so does SL work or not? if there's something i need to do in the video settings, can you please be more clear!? i tried reinstalling parallels tools to make sure it is there, and that didn't help.
Actually yes, it just work, all default settings with even DirectX Shaders experimental enabled, Hardware acceleration set to Full, and memory 64 mb Build 5608, Leopard 10.5.4
well well i have all those settings set and it still doesn't work. i'm using 10.4.11. perhaps that's the problem.
SL Works - Camera Controls and Keyboard Shortcuts Do Not I use Emerald Viewer. The camera controls I am used to in Windows and MAC OSX native do not work within Parallels. Anyone else have this issue? Key commands seem to not work either.
