I have installed Parallels Desktop 6 and Windows 7 Pro (64-bit) with OS 10.6.8 and have been using it successfully. I am not, however, able to see Windows disks and content from the Finder even though I have (I think) properly configured the Sharing settings (i.e., Mount virtual disks to Mac desktop) properly in the VM configuration.

I used this support article to do this:
    http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v6/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/27290.htm

I do see a shared server in my Finder but am unable to connect to it. Though I don't recall setting a user name and password when I installed Parallels, I am asked to supply one when I try to connect to the server in Finder. So what can I do?

I hope I have explained this correctly but am new to Mac and may not have the right terms.

    Thanks for any help!
