I have been trying for the last six hours to install parallels on a fresh install of mountain lion, using a virgin windows 7 installation dvd and it just...won't...work. even technical support seem stumped. for whatever reason, the virtual machine will not identify my windows 7 installation disk. such a waste of time. are a lot of other having this problem?
I'm having the same problem.. When i go to install it says that my cd drive can't be found.. (Superdrive with MacBook Air) Worked just fine with P6.. I also have fresh install of Mountain Lion and Windows 7 cd.. very frustrating.. Did anyone figure this out??
Disk Utility.app It's in your Utilities folder. Put your DVD in, launch DU, select the DVD from the left panel, click New Images, select read-only, no encryption (img, dmg and iso extensions will work on Parallels). Btw, the installations via iso images run much faster than the ones from CDs/DVDs.
