    Hello Everyone,
My system is a Macbook Pro with a Core i7 quad core processor and 16gb of RAM running OSX Yosemite along with Parallels 10 Desktop running a Windows 8.1 Guest OS setup to use 4 cores (out of 8), 12gb of RAM, and 512mb graphics memory. I'm using Windows to run a modeling and simulation software package called ARENA 14.5.

My issue is that after performing a mid-level calculation intensive process (a basic simulation) and then pulling up a report on the simulation (another mid-level calculation intensive process), I receive a Windows error entitled "Server Busy". The text of the error says "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem." The dialog box options are "Switch to...", "Retry", and "Cancel" but "Cancel" is grayed out and unavailable. While this dialog box is up, I cannot do anything else on my virtual machine until it is addressed (can't save changes, open another program, etc.). If I press "Retry", I hear a beep and the dialog box disappears and then immediately reappears. Keep pushing the "Retry" button and this continues to happen indefinitely. If I press the "Switch To..." button, it pulls up the Windows Start page. On this page, I can click on other Windows Apps, but as soon as I go back to the original program (ARENA), the "Server Busy" error is still there. The only way I can make the error go away is by pulling up Task Manager and ending the program, which results in me losing any work that I haven't saved (not as bad because I save often, but still annoying...). Does anybody have an idea as to why I am getting this error??? I also tried running in Windows 7 compatibility mode to make sure this wasn't a Windows 8 specific issue and I got the same error. I'm not sure what other steps to try...

Any help on this issue or workarounds to avoid getting the error would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help! - Kyle

Hi there, I was looking on internet for a solution to exactly the same problem... The only difference is that I have a Toshiba (i7, 8Gb RAM), still running Windows 8.1.
Please, someone tells me how to manage this problem... I'm getting crazy!!!
