I recently upgraded to build 5160 of v3 and now cannot open my shared folders on the Mac side from within Windows XP

I keep getting a Windows user log in dialogue box prompting me for a userID/password combination.

I can drag and drop between environments fine.

    Hello,

you can try to reinstall Parallels Tools - will it help?

    Best Regards,
    Alicia.

yes ignore that - I gotta de T-shirt - been there

just as in so many of my other posts
Mac PD Menu >> devices >> shared folders >> add

the Mac Desktop is a folder after your user name
just share each hard disk as a networked folder
    - second time today I have posted this answer :)

    Tried that. Doesn't work either.
Was all fine (shared folders) before I upgraded to build 5160 and now it keeps prompting me for a username and password whether I share them as mapped drives or not.

    Next ;)
