Are the folders in a shared folder supposed to be read only?

    Here's the setup.
    Partition 1 - OS X
    Partition 2 - Shared FAT32
    Partition 3 - Vista
Parallels XP disk on OS X Partition

I'm using the the FAT32 disk as a shared folder in Parallels with XP, however the contents are read only. I think this explains why its so slow... The PSF of my home folder is the same way.

Is there any way to change this? It is read/write for OS X, and the PSF is defined as a read/write item. The files all seem to be read/write, but the container folders are all read only. This is prohibiting me from opening files with programs that make temp files next to the originals (Word, Adobe).

Is there any way to force the permissions on the folders?
