I have added my Windows 7 bootcamp installation as a VM into Parallels 7, and I need to be able to share the hard drives between the two operating systems.
I have tried adding the hard drives in the configuration settings, but this gives me some problems. Firstly, the hard drives then disappear from the Mac. Secondly, all Mac partitions don't appear correctly, they come up as RAW data, instead of letting me use MacDrive to give support to the drives.
The other option I tried was sharing the drives within the sharing configuration settings. But this means that the drives have drive letters like Y,X and Z, instead of D, F and G. Therefore, my programs that use the D, F and G drives cannot access the data. I have remapped the drives to the correct letters, but after every boot it resets to the Y, X and Z drive letters.
This has been a problem for months. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
