Can Parallels share the same virtual machines that were created with VmWare Fusion? If not can the virtual machines be ported to Parallels? Need help deciding whether to get Parallels Desktop 9 or VmWare Fusion Upgrade 6 or both.
You cannot share the two VMs. They are made by two different companies and file formats, memory, and other things works differently. People have converted VMware to Parallels, but I haven't tried it myself yet. My suggestion is to get the trial version of both and test which one does what you want. VMware is faster for things like rendering, encoding/decoding, etc. Parallels is better for gaming and makes Windows look and work like it isnt windows if you want.
