Recently upgraded to parallels 11 and now when I am in a virtual environment (remote desktop) 'shift' does not work on the first letter I type. For example if I typed 'USA' holding the shift key down then it would come out as 'uSA' Really weird. Caps Lock works fine and the second letter always recognizes the shift, but not the first one. Really frustrating as the 1st letter is the one we always capitalize. This problem doesn't occur when in the regular windows environment, just the virtual environment, but with every application. Once again this was not a problem with parallels 10. Also I have several PC's in my office. To run these programs, they also have to log into the remote desktop. I do not have the same problem it that setting, so I'm thinking it must be the update. Any help would be great. Thanks.
Hey, please try this: 1.Click on Start and click on Control panel. 2.Click on 'Accessibility Options' and in keyboard tab make sure that there is no check mark near 'Use stickykeys'. 3.If there is a check mark then remove it and then click on Apply
I have the exact same issue. This worked fine in my previous version 9. The solution given does not work for me. First character is always lowercase. This is very disruptive especially when trying to enter passwords etc. John
Has anyone gotten a solution t o this issue ? have searched forums with no fix working for me as of yet
No and they are not responding to this at all. Tried twice without anyone from Parallels responding. I was forced to update because of OS upgrade and now I have a bug that makes this product unusable for me.
I finally got this working based on a post from other user https://forum.parallels.com/threads...aracter-when-remote-desktop-connected.315199/ on Mac in upper left where Parallels icon lives - use configure there Good luck I also set the optimize for Gaming setting
