Single screen also flickering

I see the thread about dual screens flickering, but I am running Parallels with a single external screen and I am also experiencing flickering. Disabling 3D acceleration also fixes the issue, but that is not a viable long term solution. I saw that others were having luck moving the OS X dock to one of their other screens, but with a single screen, that isn't an option. Is there anything else I can try?
