Slow CD drive, Parallels 5 for Mac

    I installed Parallels and Windows XP at the end of March. Installed some PC programmes then, OK. Now it is not possible to install new Windows/XP programmes from CD because the CD drive slowes down and eventually stoppes. The disk drive workes fine in Mac OS mode. I have a pretty new I-mac. I am a new Mac and Parallels user. Thanks for help!
