    Hi,

I'm using Parallel Desktop for Mac (Build 1970) with IAR. This software is used for a 8051 cross-platform development. It is well protected with a USB dongle (Rainbow USB SuperPro).

In the begining, I was happy to continue to use my Mac for these developments: I can download code to the 8051 target via a second USB connection, debug my code and IAR can read the dongle.

However, I realize now that IAR is a bit paranoiac and frequently reads the dongle. This takes between 10-15 seconds and slow down compilation and download/debug.

I tried to do the same on an old PC laptop and the dongle is read much more faster (then compilation is slower than on my MacBook Pro).

Has someone experienced a similar problem with a dongle? Has the problem been fixed or solved?

I haven't found a thread with this topic on this forum, so I ask this question.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

    Bernard

In 12 years, have you had work around for this problem?
