Hi, Situation: 1 SBS 2003 server and 1 Windows 2003 Std. setup as Terminal Server. Suppose i purchase the 2X App Server Smallbusiness version, is the following setup supported or even possible? - Install 2X Console on the SBS 2003 - Install the Agent on the Windows 2003 Terminal Server Or do i have to install everything on the Terminal Server? Suppose my suggested setup is possible, how do i install the agent on the Terminal Server? By selecting the Enterprise version during setup and then the agent? Thanks, Dennes
Hi there, The setup you are mentioning is supported. 1) Install an SMB version on the SBS 2003. 2) Open the 2X Console, 3)In the terminal server write the name of the Windows 2003 Terminal Server 4) Press Check status. 5) Click the install button. Nixu
Thanks, Just another thing that i suddenly thought of. In this particular setup, can i still publish applications residing on the Terminal Server while working on the 2X Console at the SBS? How does that work? Does it ttreat application publishing as if i'm on the TS or does it get apps from the SBS? And, what is the 2X recommended setup? Console on the SBS and Agent on the TS, or everything on the TS Thanks, Dennes
Hi, Published application will only be executed on the Terminal Server. In this scenario the Console can only be executed from the SBS. For SMB setups I suggest to install everything on the TS, unless you have some network connectivity issues. nixu
