snapshot alters mounted VM HD

My XP C disk shows in Finder, allowing me to attach files from it in Mail app. I do that a lot.

But, after every hourly snapshot of the VM, the C disk shows as a shared volume with no files, instead of showing like a HD.

Suspending the VM and starting it again solves it, but hey.
