I was caught out with the non-compatibility issue of PD3 and was following the various threads here. Initially the response from Parallels was that a fix would be issued within a few days but this later appears to have been retracted with the announcement that PD2 and PD3 weren't supported. At this point, on the 2nd September, I decided to get the upgrade to PD4 which cost me GBP 31.99. I am not a little bit 'peeved' to find the following thread, dated 31st August 2009, presumably in response to announcement of a price of GBP 24.99! (Was the posting of this thread delayed by the moderation system?) http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=93233 Quote I can't find a Link to the £24.99 upgrade fee for desktop 3.0 to 4.0 as shown on the info page for Snow Leopard users. Unquote The web site is now showing this price. I have contacted Element 5 (Digital River) who refuse to honour the GBP 24.99 price and say I should contact the publisher. Is there anything you can do please? It's not so much the money, as the principle! Salamat
Sorry to hear of this. This is why I didn't want to pay for the upgrade until they confirmed the price. I sent an email to the uk office, but never got a reply. Hopefully they at least read it and acted on it. The q & a re:snow leopard customers page used to refer to the £24.99 discount before it appeared at the top of the page. Now the discount is there, the q & a refers to $39.99! Go figure. The product is good but the cutsomer service is running a bit low.
